David Tring

Visiting fellow Hong Kong Design Institute, Ex VP Lee Jeans Asia Pacific

David has built up an extensive knowledge of the Global denim and fashion industry leading Design, Merchandising and Buying teams in Europe and Asia with VF, C&A, H&M and Kontoor where he was VP of Product for Asia Pacific for the Lee and Wrangler brands. Based in Hong Kong he has a deep understanding of the APAC and Chinese market needs. David is a visiting fellow at the Hong Kong Design Institute.

Dileepa Marasinghege is currently the Associate Vice President of Global Technical Service at MGF Sourcing (Far East) Limited, an independent US-led global sourcing company that offers end-to-end services, from design, product development, sourcing, quality assurance, and trade compliance to global logistics.With a rich and diverse background spanning various functions and categories in the apparel technical world, Dileepa has been a stalwart in the industry for over two decades. His expertise in quality assurance and technical areas, including pattern making, fitting, fabric technology, and wet processing, is unparalleled.



Corinna Joyce

Corinna Joyce is a passionate educator with international experience in the Fashion Industry as designer, maker and consultant, with a strong focus on sustainability and startups. Originally from Germany, Corinna manages the Bachelor of Fashion and Bachelor of Professional Communication programmes at RMIT Vietnam and has previously worked and taught in the Middle East. She focuses her research on Craft and Culture, Post-Growth and Social and Economic Shifts in Design and Industry.

Mitchell Vassie

Fashion Designer and Educator

Mitchell is a fashion designer and educator who specialises in denim and all things indigo. He is passionate about the intersection of fashion, culture, and history. A big focus is the relationship we have with our clothes and longevity of style over ephemeral trends. He finds inspiration in the past to shape the future and he values ethical design and development, regenerative, slow fashion and advocates for reducing environmental impact, improving working conditions and ultimately transparency in our industry.

Sam thi Tinh

Traditional crafts person from village of Hoa Tien in Quy Chau

Sam Thi Tinh, born and raised in the rural village of Hoa Tien in Quy Chau, Nghe An, overcame early hardships to master the art of traditional weaving and embroidery, passed down by her mother. With a passion for preserving ethnic culture through handmade fashion, she strives to elevate the value of indigenous textiles in modern clothing, promoting sustainability and cultural heritage conservation. Tình's journey in the fashion industry is a testament to her dedication to bridging traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design for a global audience.

With over 20 years of experience in the Denim Industry, Mr. Michael Lam joined Advance Denim in November 2015 as the Marketing Director. Recognizing his exceptional performance, he was later appointed as the CEO of Advance Denim Hong Kong and Advance Sico Vietnam. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Lam led the dedicated team in Hong Kong, successfully organizing numerous domestic and international exhibitions and denim industry conferences.
